Chris, so full of life, was astonishingly resilient for many years in the face of this brutal and unfair disease. She was immensely kind and loyal to her numerous friends, acutely intelligent, wise and witty. In her work as an educator and in her personal life, she had a very great talent for enabling others. Voracious reader (much of it in French, which she spoke impeccably), devotee of European cinema, cook and gardener, camper and traveller. She loved and was loved beyond measure by her husband and our son as she was loved by so many friends. She died too damn young.
